Governing question

What collective behavior emerges from local rules?

Networks turn simple interactions into nonlinear outcomes. The practical task is to identify feedback, instability, and regime change before aggregate behavior makes those forces obvious.

From laws to behavior

A physics thesis on sequence storage and two peer-reviewed papers trace a move from stochastic processes to the aggregate behavior of neural networks.

The transferable method is to identify the mechanism, specify the boundary conditions, and test how local interactions alter behavior at another scale.

The record supports the thesis and publications. It does not turn later work into a claim of continuing academic research.

What changes when the object of study becomes a system?

Models under pressure

A documented economics paper and SEC-recorded portfolio-management role place formal analysis inside markets, where timing, liquidity, incentives, and revision affect the decision.

A useful model does not remove uncertainty. It makes assumptions visible, locates exposure, and defines what evidence should change the position.

The role is historical. No fund performance, later tenure, or firm assets-under-management figure is claimed.

What must a model do when actors can adapt to it?
