Connecting Argentina with Silicon Valley
I helped organize President Milei’s visit to OpenAI, Apple, Google and Meta, bringing Argentina’s technology agenda into direct discussions with their leaders.
Assembling the agenda
In May 2024, I helped organize President Javier Milei’s Silicon Valley visit with Mat Travizano and Martín Varsavsky. The purpose was to discuss Argentina’s place in the next wave of technology with the leaders of OpenAI, Apple, Google and Meta.
The agenda included a technology dinner with entrepreneurs, investors and researchers, among them Greg Brockman, Marc Andreessen and Alexandr Wang. It brought computing, investment and the country’s economic proposition into the same conversation.

Connect the meetings with an operating proposition
After helping assemble the visit, I explained its economic and physical context in interviews: a computing location needs stability, legal protection, electricity, connectivity, equipment, water, suitable climate and skilled people. I treated those requirements as parts of one operating proposition.
Argentina’s energy and scientific capabilities were part of the conversation with technology leaders. The visit established meetings and relationships in May 2024. Investment proposals that followed have their own participants, announcement dates and development stages, including the later Stargate Argentina proposal.
Further chapters
The July 2024 Sun Valley visit and September 2024 meeting with Elon Musk in New York were separate engagements. Stargate Argentina, announced in October 2025, is a further chapter in the connection between technology and energy.
